I am deeply honoured to be returning to The Yoga Weekend as a teacher of The Daring Way™, and to be facilitating two workshops at this event.
Empathy is the heart of connection. It’s what allows us to feel heard and seen. Practicing it is like building a bridge between yourself and someone else. It means being fully present and attentive as someone shares a story; connecting to the laughter, joy, or pain they’re experiencing, and ultimately forging deeper connections to the community around you. It’s also something to give yourself.
Together, we’ll cultivate:
- An understanding of what empathy looks and sounds like, and what it’s not
- Concrete skills that allow your loved ones to feel heard and understood
- How to recognize the empathic relationships in your life and who has earned the right to hear your story
Guided by Dr. Brené Brown’s groundbreaking research on empathy, we’ll delve into building deeper connections, who to trust with our strengths and vulnerabilities, and how to be more aware in all our relationships.
